All my work explores where human sensations and the natural world touch, sometimes collide,.merge if we let it.
Particularly my experiences of disconnect in normal society, and my discoveries dialogued as I connect and forge a different life alone, living and working in a woodland.
Humans are distorted as society functions on values distant from our own; accepted aesthetics call us to distort our own physicality, money makes us give up our true passions.
Digital photography: heavy use of multiple exposures, distortions of my self merged with glimpses of nature.
Ink / paint: using pigments from nature to describe dissociation and distortion. Often human limbs look like tree limbs. The imperfect materials influence the marks.on paper.
I also play with sculpture and video/sound.
