Discipline:

Mixed media Artist

Location:

Ipswich, Suffolk

ABOUT:

I am an early-career neurodivergent, working class artist, playwright and performer with a heart for social justice.

I’ve recently joined the Museum as Muck steering committee and am working in partnership with the British Working Class Art Network supported by the Tate with some smaller projects with the Tate and the British Museum.

My performance work is very random and eclectic (ADHD style) - I combine serious topics with light-hearted moments to create a unique balance that both entertains and challenges.

Basically I am a vigilante justice queen passionate about arts as a vehicle for change.

WORKS:

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
