Hollie Wilkins (hyuk.rude)

Discipline:

Multidisciplinary Artist/Painter

Location:

South Wales

ABOUT:

Young Artist feeling the effects of The Cost of Living Crisis through my own abstract.

My work primarily involves acrylic and an airbrush. This period of time needs more bold and tackiness surrounding us. I want my work to bring comfort, and invoke a simplicity. More importantly by fun for both owner and artist a like.

There is memory in feelings of fun and I want that to be the subject of many of my pieces.

I wish to be able to work primarily off of my commissions.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
