ABOUT:

A multidisciplinary artist from Wrexham, now living and working in Manchester. My background as a northern working class creative inspires my work which is often humorous in tone, using photography and styling as my primary mediums by which to create a sense of escapism from the cyclical nature of everyday life. I also utilise mixed media collage as a form of expression, creating obscure imagery that seeks to invite my audience to find comfort and joy in the absurd. I aspire to make work that can make people laugh and to inject the fun back into fashion and creativity.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
