Working across text, collage, and performance, Violets takes playful aesthetics and a lot of sardonic humour to generate a pocket universe in which her transgressive writing can exist and thrive. Her text centres around personal failures and triumphs, rifts in past and present relationships, destructive alter egos, and the dread that spins round her head late at night. She just tries to grasp at these little strings of consciousness, and iron them into some form of prose- or exaggerated performance.
