Lakisha was born and raised in Europe and spent her childhood living in her imagination. After doing GSCE's in the UK and getting an A* she left the academic world of art behind and was determined on being a self taught artist. Most courses focus on design and modern art but the pull of classical art was too strong and she continues to be an emerging artist with influences from the past.

Constructing a blend of pop surreal and a modern renaissance with trippy retro vibes her work is constructed around themes within music and movies, the occult and dreams. She's forever challenging herself and experimenting with different elements and creates series to explore moods and themes. Symbolism plays a big part in the work, diving from hardships and introspective observations.

The only key to Lakisha's work is a strange vibrancy which probably comes from her colour-blindness, but despite this factor nothing will stop her from creating a series of work that looks like a 90's Tumblr feed, learning and experimenting to give life to her ideas and dreams on canvas, skateboards, mirrors, lunchboxes and saw's she'll continue to paint and create to keep those dreams alive.
