Trackie Mcleod

Visual Artist

Trackie McLeod's work explores the intersections of British pop, lad and subcultures of the present and recent past. He describes his practice as “made up of one-part nostalgia, an ounce of sarcasm and a pint of Tennent’s Lager”.

Trackie’s work draws upon his memories and experiences growing up as queer and working-class in Glasgow, weaving autobiography, storytelling, and social criticism. Using photography and video as starting points, his ideas also take form in sculpture, installation, and textile.
