Cal Mingus is a Scottish multidisciplinary artist working mainly in the fields of painting, photography, and music. In both his visual and audio work, he strives to strike a balance between visceral, jagged mess and glossy, brilliant harmony. By doing so, he attempts to draw parralels between mark making and musical composition. He does so by use of colour, texture and, digital & analogue processing. Mingus' work currently explores themes of accident, labour, and nostalgia.
