ABOUT:

I didn’t really know what this means sorry so I’ll just tell you about myself. I’m 18 and I’m currently at a fashion foundation year before I head off to uni (first person in my family to go) I don’t know how I’d describe my work other than real, I like personal projects and I feel as though I design better when the project is close to home. My two favourite projects are when I worked in an old people’s care home and the project I just did about misconceptions of people from council estates.

WORKS:

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
