Discipline:

I am a Sound Designer for Drama Opera and Musicals

Location:

London

ABOUT:

My practice as a sound designer encapsulates the worlds of musical theatre, opera, and drama, where I endeavor to craft immersive sonic narratives that resonate with audiences on an emotional level. In each of these disciplines, I blend live performance with crafted soundscapes to enrich the storytelling experience.

Whether collaborating on a poignant drama, a soaring operatic masterpiece, or a vibrant musical theatre production, my focus remains steadfast: to enhance the narrative arc and emotional depth of every moment. Working closely with directors, composers, and performers, I aim to create a fusion of sound and performance that transports audiences into the heart of the story.

Through my work, I seek to push the boundaries of sonic storytelling and redefine the role of sound in live performance, bridging the gap between musical theatre, opera, and drama to create unforgettable experiences for audiences worldwide. From the triumphant crescendo of a show-stopping number to the subtle interplay of ambient sounds, my goal is to evoke a response that lingers long after the final curtain falls.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
