A Todd

Discipline:

Multidisciplinary Artist

Location:

Camborne, Cornwall

ABOUT:

Based in Cornwall, A.Todd's work explores the psyche, its sentimental attachments to objects, and the interplay of our deepest human emotions.
His practice is materials led, using unconventional mediums to engage and provoke.
Often blurring the lines between artwork and object, A.Todd builds tension with his work, only to surrender it to the unpredictable hand of nature.
Found displayed in the shadows, the dusty corners of old houses, or outside in the rain, the physical context in which A.Todd uses to show his work plays in the spaces between the forlorn and the familiar--like a distant memory you've all but forgotten

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
