ABOUT:

Alessandra Mondin is a queer artist, perfumer, researcher, and writer.

Influenced by their PhD in media and cultural studies, RMAs in interdisciplinary gender studies, and a BA in visual arts, their work encompasses explorations of cultural categories; the aesthetics and politics of identity; desire; naturecultures; and migration.

Alessandra has created diffractive studio to explore what a scent can do, investigating this through multiple artistic media such as installations and crossmodal art, and small-batch artisanal perfumery. Alessandra was born and raised in Italy and is now based in the UK.
