Discipline:

3D Artist, Art Director, Designer

Location:

Sydney, Australia

ABOUT:

Annie Ngo is a 3D Artist and Designer whose work explores the relationship between people, the physical world and digital spaces. Havining studied graphic design and spent majority of her childhood painting, Annie's practice is underpinned by the tactility of both disaplines, further defined by elements of graphic design principles and the emotive essence of Abstract expressionism.

By using her skills in 3D motion and image making, Annie often experiments with ways in which digital media and aesthetics can build new means and methods to engage with our physical and digital worlds. She is particularly intrigued by themes of tactility, synesthesia and the intersection of graphic design and cgi disaplines.

Her work often employs vivid colour palettes and high contrast compositions, a dynamic visual landscape that is often populated by abstract subjects and organic forms. She is inspired by the works of Johnathan Zawada, Erik Jones and Louise Zhang.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
