ABOUT:

Hi, I’m Edi!

I am a creative based in Sheffield, currently studying at Sheffield Hallam University. My practice spans print making, writing, illustration and editorial work. All grounded in curiosity and how visual communication shapes the way we understand ourselves and each other.

My work explores themes of identity, community and social contexts, often engaging with ideas surrounding class, access and belonging. I’m interested in the power of image and text to challenge assumptions, open up dialogue, and make genuine connections. Because ultimately, what else are we here for?!

Through a combination of bold imagery and use of materials, I aim to produce work that is honest and purposeful, making my corner of the world more kind and thoughtful than I found it.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
