Eve Emily Wright

Discipline:

Multidisciplinary Artist, Contemporary Poet

Location:

Bradford, West Yorkshire

ABOUT:

Capturing the lament held within the female experience and the inherent complexities that shape it, is my fundamental objective. My methodology is examined conscientiously and presented primitively though disciplined sculptural forms.

Through the pursuit of domestic spaces, sculptural form and visual language, I investigate how femininity is constructed, performed and preserved. I use materials that carry a visceral presence, grounding my work in a honest and bodily reality.

I aim to display an introspection of identity, suffrage and silence that is recklessly embedded within the essence of female lives.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
