Multidisciplinary Artist

Location:

London / Bristol

ABOUT:

Indianna is a Bristol Creative (b. 2003), based in London who graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts and is currently Studying MA Fine Art Photography at Camberwell College of Arts.

Her practice is based on her personal experience growing up working class, and hones on around women's struggles within the **B**ritish working class climate. Her practice is centred around the concepts of femininity, culture and nostalgia.

specialising in photography and installation, her practice is politically driven within recent climate of working class struggles, and demonisation of the working class through main media and public domaine

she hopes to not only de stigmatise the working class and highlight issues around the culture, but also highlight the abuse many working class women face, giving them a voice through her practice.

WORKS:

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
