ABOUT:

Hi ! My informal name is Belle and I began making visual art in 2019. I have no formal art training, I just began as a way of meditating. For many years I worked one to one with children in a primary school setting so I have been able to gauge the benefit of using art with children who have more complex needs.
I am living in East London where I was born and grew up. I love animals and enjoy spending time with friends, watching Turkish dramas and singing. My fondness for climbing trees as a child means they continually pop up in any spontaneous drawings I might create.
I am deeply curious about how people learn to thrive with their talents and love to share ideas.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
