About:
In my practice I materialize into artwork ideas of personal conditioners, exploring narratives around migration, heritage, gender and its influence on identity and belonging, with a special focus on the connection between the individual and the community..
I mix materials and disciplines blurring the boundaries between performance and sculpture. Main materials in my work to date are textile, rubber, and ceramics, as well as repurposing and recycling garments and other objects.
Art is transcendent and magical to me. My performable sculptures and the body transform into a hybrid being
becoming the vehicle of learning and experiencing. I create transformational rituals, allowing the performer (me and others) to respond to emotional, intellectual and spiritual questions and challenge the views on the society and the world we live in, reflecting on values and conditions.
Collaboration and cooperation happens through my practice and I have been working and sharing with other artists like fellow visual artists, performers, dancers, choreographers, and musicians in Spain, Germany and the UK.
