ABOUT:


Jasmine is of mixed Japanese-Irish heritage from London, UK. She is a multidisciplinary artist who creates autobiographical live art exploring identity though humour, illusion and workshop facilitation.

She is a graduate of Performance Arts at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has a MFA in Fine Art Media from the Slade School of Art, University College London where she was a recipient of the Clare Winsten Memorial Award and the Berenice Goodwin Prize for performance art.

Previously, she has worked with and performed at a variety of venues, organisations and festivals including: Roundhouse, Glastonbury festival, Critical Interruptions, Women Working Class, Live Art Development Agency, University of Gießen’s Diskurs Festival (Germany), Porsgrunn International Theatre Festival (Norway) and Tokyo Geidai’s Chinretsukan Gallery (Japan). In 2023, she received ‘Developing Your Creative Practice’ funding from Arts Council England to undertake research and traditional theatre training in Kyoto, Japan.
