Jesse Glazzard

Discipline:

Photographer

Location:

London/ Yorkshire

ABOUT:

"Glazzard, grew up in Yorkshire and is now living and working in London. Jesse explores diversity by celebrating people as unique individuals. Showing bodies in their authentic appearance, as seen through a non-binary eye without retouching, is very important - celebrating the feminine as something that is non-gendered while showing that sexuality is merely a social construct and vulnerable in the sense that it can change at any moment. Ultimately, Glazzards, photography is about creating and embracing a space of wholesomeness outside of preconceived stereotypes and judgments."

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
