Lakisha is a self-taught painter working primarily in oil and acrylic. Everything is a canvas and Lakisha's work often appears on skateboard, saws and lunchboxes as well as more traditional surfaces.



Influenced by classic painting (Bosch/Brugel/Gotch/FriedrichMunsterhjelm/Falero/Aivazovsky), and the more modern (Pop) Surreal and American Baroque movements. Connecting a nomadic childhood with a joyful connection with folklore and subcultures results in artwork that is equally beautiful and mysterious.
