ABOUT:

"“…pure shit but worth it” – myself We are living in a world that is burning to death. Fake governments, fake prophets, fake news: trapped by lies, in a life fuelled and fooled by addiction, abuse and destruction, living in the dark. I make work about truth, I make work about drugs and I make work about myself: it’s time to wake up. Currently focussing on illustration and (weird, sort of) jewellery making, my practice fuses a mixture of found, recycled and nostalgic materials- basically anything I can afford or get my hands on. Themes and aesthetics of a psychedelic dystopia intertwine, awkwardly, with elements from my childhood, pop culture and modern, British society."

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
