ABOUT:

Marta is a cultural worker and an art historian based in the Midlands, currently working as Artist Development Coordinator at BACKLIT gallery in Nottingham.
Marta's curatorial interests are Eastern-European identity and representation, issues of migration and xenoracism, equality and diversity in UK-based art institutions.
Marta is experienced in planning and delivering publicly funded exhibitions and events. Working for 3 years at Centrala gallery in Birmingham, she's been successfully coordinating a diverse programme of exhibitions, events, discussions, screenings and workshops.
Recently, Marta has been awarded the Developing Your Creative Practice grant to conduct a study on migrant, working class artists in the UK.
