ABOUT:

Born in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, I moved to London in an attempt to make a living. I know.

Over time I’ve had moderate success in the commercial sector, as well as having written winning short stories for small publications, and a short play for BBC’s Write by the Quays.
I’ve also made a few pranky stunts that have been featured in the news. I like mischief.

My main artistic goal is to develop as a storyteller and filmmaker. I’m interested in the power stories and words have to help us understand one another, to show the value of working class lives, and the strangeness, beauty and humour of it all.

WORKS:

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
