ABOUT:

Michal Sobkiewicz is a Polish arts producer based in Bristol, UK. With a background in music management his work sits at the intersection of electronic music, contemporary dance, and experimental performance. He is the co-founder of inklingroom, an arts platform established in 2020 in London that connects club culture with contemporary dance. Through innovative, inclusive programming and cross-disciplinary events, inklingroom challenges traditional performance formats and makes space for emerging voices across music, movement, and visual art.

Michal also runs inklingroom records, a non-profit record label supporting early-career experimental musicians. He DJ's under the name Wash Electra with monthly radio residency on Noods Radio in Bristol. ​Michal holds a BA in Music Industry Management from Middlesex University.

His recent event production credits include: The Yard Theatre (London), FOLD - futur.shock (London), Baltic Dance Festival (Tallinn), Space 289, Kanuti Gildi Saal (Estonia). A notable programming include: GAIKA, Eve Stainton, Jamila Johnson-Small, Damien Roach, Magnus Westwell, Osheyack, LYZZA, Hollie Miller, Lauren Duffus.
