Discipline:

Interdisciplinary Performer & Theatre Maker, Actor , Writer, Puppeteer

Location:

London

ABOUT:

I am a London-born performance artist, excavating the complexities of the past and their reverberations in the present. My work challenges audience perceptions and provokes thought around displacement, power structures, and legacies.
With a 'rough 'n' ready' aesthetic, I create embodied, non-linear narratives that blend performance, puppetry, stop-motion animation, film, and digital technology. Dismantling the fourth wall, I champion theatre as a communal space for critical engagement and reflection.
My practice is rooted in real-world research, geopolitics, social theory, and the nuances of my own lived experience. I navigate the intersections of insider/outsider and colonised/coloniser, speaking with the privilege of my voice in the Global West while acknowledging the complexities of my inherited histories.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
