ABOUT:

I am a photographic artist from Cambridge, United Kingdom. Currently, my work focuses on salvaging and re-presenting discarded media—such as old photographs, negatives, and slides—through an intricate process of physical, chemical, and digital manipulation. Small celluloid collages are reconstructed onto canvas, undergoing cycles of transformation that challenge the rigidity of the photographic medium, pushing it toward a more painterly, textured expression.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Photography from Norwich University of the Arts and currently work as a Visitor Assistant at Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge. Previously, I have participated in the Babylon Young Curators programme at Babylon ARTS, curating the contemporary exhibition No Frost at Night and have worked alongside the Human Interfaces Creative Lab as a Guest Editor for the lens-based magazine Uncertain States.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
