ABOUT:

I am a Theatre Director, Producer and Facilitator. I have passion for telling stories that highlight the issues in society and give a voice to those less represented. I grew up in the North-east of England, in Middlesbrough and moved to Plymouth to study a BA(Hons) Theatre Directing in 2019.

My Northern working-class background and LGBTQ+ identity structure the work I create and the projects I work on as both a Director and a Producer. I like to push the limits of what is seen as acceptable in the industry and look to challenge these standard for the better.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
