Veronica Revuelta Garrido

Discipline:

Independent curator, artist

Location:

London

ABOUT:

Veronica is a Spanish - London based independent curator and artist. Her curatorial work reimagines art spaces as dynamic spaces for dialogue, challenging traditional power structures through themes of social activism. Veronica develops socially engaging projects that amplify diverse voices and challenge conventional exhibition formats. She believes galleries and institutions should be evolving spaces for critical engagement, prioritising collaboration and accessibility to bridge the gap between artists, audiences, and the space itself.

Alongside curating, Veronica is returning to painting to explore themes of identity and power. Her large-scale abstract and surrealist works reflect personal and collective narratives, focusing on how bodies navigate history, culture, and power through symbolism and gestural forms.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
