Discipline:

Visual Artist.

Location:

Bristol, England.

ABOUT:

I'm a conceptual visual artist. I thrive on researching and learning more about people and the world and believe that art should be aesthetically pleasing and also convey deeper thought.

My sculptural concepts range from discussing hostile architecture and its effect on minorities, highlighting the many detriments of the climate crisis, to our fascination with objects.

I enjoy finding connections between two seemingly unrelated materials, by making one-off flat-pack and modular systems that celebrate the mundanity of everyday items, by mostly using found objects, aligning with my eco values. My work methods tend to adhere to utilising suggestive spots that each unique piece has to offer and altering them in a way that makes the sculpture more playful and my approach less narrow-minded.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
