ABOUT:

The ideas that occupy my research as an artist revolve around the ongoing inquiry of society and its engagement with technology and science. It also revolves around the philosophical questions that arise from our fundamental interaction with the material world.
My practice communicates itself through narratives about speculative outcomes and historical perspectives. These arise from a flow of consciousness and an archaeological process that reveals itself as the work progresses. The detailed works are not fully planned on commencement. One section of drawing informs the following stages where a visual conversation unfolds as the work progresses.
Images unfold, structures may appear, and narratives become complex in the visions and worlds I construct.
My practice bridges different methods of idea depictions that amalgamates architectural drawing, abstract art and illustration techniques.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
