ABOUT:

Ben Driver is an artist and curator living I'm Suffolk, UK. Their world of expression leans heavily into the complexities of identity. Gender, sexuality, sex, mental health, masculinity, growth and trauma are areas which they fluctuate around creatively. They often combine art forms into a single piece; photography, collage, painting, illustration, writing, as well as finding a home in creating zines.

Ben is the founding Director of Guy Cry Club CIC, a space that explores masculinity and mental health through art. Here they lead creative workshops, curate exhibition and events as well as engaging those with art who wouldn't normally have access to it.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
