Discipline:

Multidisciplinary Artist, Writer, Activist & Grower

Location:

Cambridge

ABOUT:

Autist/Artist. My art practice is multi-disciplinary, and has often used multi-channel video, sound, performance and installation to create immersive experiences. Photography and the written word is also a key aspect of my work and often incorporated. I interrogate the performative nature of class identity, as well as queerness. I am interested in the intersection between image, performance, audition and text, and take an embodied approach to both practice and research. More recently, my interest in ecology and environmental activism as well as work in the horticulture & health sectors has lead me to start a project on the relationship between fungi and human health.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
