fine art painting mostly

Location:

London

ABOUT:

Through my work, I employ a personal style of surrealist automatism to visualise the pressure exerted by the pervasive contemporary artificial extracorporeal influences that one must endure in my city, London, which unfortunately at this point in history I can't help but perceive as a site of oppressive chemical, social, and psychological tension. My compositions reflect the unseen yet deeply felt forces that impact public health, from dense electromagnetic radiation to concentration of artificial food additives in foods marketed to poorer people. I wish to contribute towards shining a light on the injustice of being fated to live a shorter life with premature chronic-pain disorders, higher propensity towards substance dependency and increased likelihood of terminal illness simply because of one's economic background; I've witnessed such fate in most of my immediate family members and have developed a staunch determination to break the cycle. through my art and my sharing of the esoterica of health and nutrition I wish to inspire the plausibility of an upward trajectory for one's health, both physical and mental, and to paint physiological vitality as a basic human right to be awarded
to all.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
