Daniel Jefferies

Discipline:

Photographer, Lens based Artist

Location:

Leeds, Lincoln

ABOUT:

I’m primarily a photographer but I have started to experiment within my practice adding in sculptural elements and practicing with the tactility of my images.
My current body of work surrounds memory and childhood nostalgia through abstracting details and reflecting on how things have changed within my life.
I implement analogue photography wherever I can within my practice be that traditional film photography, printing in the darkroom or alternative process like cyanotype.
The process of aging and creating some of my pieces is very important to me I have started a more performative approach towards my work initiating childhood play with some of my pieces.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
