ABOUT:

Grace Alison’s work documents and articulates the world around her. Through a multi-disciplinary installation practice, she examines how we inhabit spaces, questioning our relationships with these and how they reflect the life held within. Recent enquiry has led Grace to explore the home, recording the multifaceted significance of the space through a series of layered pieces. Through combining 3-Dimensional, sculptural and textural pieces with traditional forms of documentation to create collaged installation, she encapsulates a personal representation of the space for the viewer to explore. In doing so, Grace contemplates how memories can be held within a space, reflecting on thoughts of the home and familial relationships, whilst also considering how its wider reflection on her own working class background.
