Wilson is fascinated by decadence, deterioration and decay – damage caused by humans to the environment, to mankind as a result of the damage done to the environment or damage and harm inflicted to humans by themselves.

She enjoys the challenge of combining materials that don’t usually meet using the contrasting colours and textures, taking something discarded and giving it a new life. Her creative process is heavily influenced by her life experiences; in particular her work in primary school education and her love of nature, often working with organic forms and incorporating elements of nature into her pieces.
