ABOUT:

I am a London-based visual artist and illustrator from Hong Kong. Born and raised in Hong Kong, I have been influenced by a diversity of East Asian cultures since my childhood. Having later moved to the Netherlands in 2029 to pursue Fine Art for a year, and now living in London, my works draw influence from my exposure to a diversity of East Asian, Southeast Asian and Western cultures.

I mainly work with watercolour, colour pencil, ink, and marker to create soft scenes with bright and light colour. I am particularly fascinated in building up translucent layers and directing the movement of water through watercolour medium. Creating art is my way of channelling my imaginary world to reality. I often combine my observation of slight oddity in daily life, current happenings in the world, and my inner world to create calming, healing, and thought-provoking artworks.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
