Discipline:

Multidisciplinary Artist

Location:

ABOUT:

I am a mixed media artist who works in sculpture, collage, printing and embroidery. I enjoy making work that is a labour of love with lots of detail. Sewing and printing are some of my favourite forms of expression, but I also love to experiment with text, poetry, clay, rubber, wax, spray paint, video and sound. My work often involves themes relative to the body, the natural world, and most recently, psychology and the subconscious mind. I have also just completed an NQ in Complementary Therapies, which I will hopefully be able to incorporate into my practice. Going forward, I would like my practice to include helping people in the community mentally, physically and emotionally, as well as mindfulness, and bringing people together.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
