6 Performers we have our eyes on!

“I’ve been following the journeys of these incredible creatives, each bringing a distinct voice to the world of art through performance. Whether exploring identity, heritage, or deeply personal narratives, their works reflect the richness and diversity of experiences that make up the WCCD community. Some have been part of our network from the beginning, growing through our residencies and exhibitions, while others have taken their craft to new heights at institutions like the RA. From multidisciplinary practices to personal explorations of self, these artists challenge and expand our perceptions of art and performance today.”

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
