Networking is Weird but Community is Everything!

We had an amazing time last week with members of AWITA & Working Arts Club; An evening designed to bring people together on common ground and explore new ways to connect.

We broke into small groups for real conversations guided by thoughtful hosts and prompts like:

“Real Talk > Small Talk. What conversation are you really here to have?” and “What does solidarity look like? How do we show up for each other?”

A big thank you to Lisson Gallery for hosting our takeover of their space. The “Finding My Blue Sky” group show is open until 26th July - check their website for the events programme.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
